How to Delete Your Data

You can delete your Mixtape Memories account, and the information we hold about you, at any time. This applies however you signed up, including with Google or Facebook.

Delete your account yourself

1. Sign in at mixtapememories.app.
2. Open Profile settings (from the menu, or go to /profile).
3. Under Delete your account, type DELETE and select Delete my account.

This deletes your projects, photos, music and videos straight away, and erases your name, email address, sign-in details and mobile number from your account. It can't be undone, so download any video you want to keep first.

If our team is still making a video for you, please contact us first so we can cancel the order and remove your saved card.

Ask us to delete it

If you can't sign in, or you would rather we did it for you, email [email protected] from the email address on your account and ask us to delete your data. We will confirm when it's done, within one month.

If we have emailed your business about our partner program, you can ask us the same way to delete your business contact details. We will also stop emailing you.

If you signed in with Facebook or Google

Deleting your Mixtape Memories account removes everything we received from Facebook or Google (your name, email address, profile photo and sign-in ID). You can also remove Mixtape Memories from your Google account under Security → Your connections to third-party apps & services.

Ask for deletion from Facebook

You can also ask us to delete your data from inside Facebook:

1. In Facebook, go to Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites.
2. Find Mixtape Memories, select Remove, and choose to have your data deleted.

Facebook tells us straight away, and we act on it automatically:

• If your account has no videos or orders, we delete the whole account.
• If your account has videos or orders, we remove your Facebook ID and Facebook profile photo at once, so your account is no longer linked to Facebook. We keep the rest so nothing you made is lost by accident. We also email you a link to delete the whole account in one click. The link works for 30 days, and you can sign in and delete your account at any time after that. You can still sign in without Facebook: with Google if you use it, otherwise choose Forgot password on the sign-in page to set a password.

Facebook gives you a reference code and a link to a page showing what we did. We keep a record of the request (the reference code, the date and what we did, but not your Facebook ID) for 2 years, so we can show it was handled.

What we keep

Our payment provider, Stripe, keeps its own payment records, as Australian tax law requires. Our full retention periods are in section 9 of our Privacy Policy.

Even if you don't delete your account, your photos, music and videos are deleted automatically within 20 days of your video being ready.
